Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is RouteIt?
RouteIt is a drive-planning app. It helps you figure out the best time to
leave for a drive, compares your route options using predicted traffic, and
then hands off to Apple Maps or Google Maps for turn-by-turn directions.
RouteIt is not a turn-by-turn navigation app itself.
How do I plan a drive?
Tap "Plan a drive," enter your starting point, destination, and any stops,
then set the time you need to arrive. RouteIt analyzes traffic and recommends
when to leave.
How does the "when to leave" recommendation work?
RouteIt looks at how traffic is predicted to change across a range of possible
departure times and recommends the latest you can leave while still arriving
with a comfortable buffer. These are estimates based on predicted traffic and
real conditions can change.
Will RouteIt remind me when to leave?
Yes. RouteIt can send a reminder before your recommended departure time. Make
sure notifications are enabled for RouteIt in your iPhone Settings.
How do I open my route in Apple Maps or Google Maps?
On a trip, tap the "Open in Maps" button and choose your preferred app.
How much does RouteIt cost?
RouteIt starts with a 1-week free trial. After the trial it's $9.99/month or
$39.99/year. You can cancel anytime.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your
name, tap Subscriptions, select RouteIt, and choose Cancel. Cancel at least 24
hours before your trial or period ends to avoid the next charge.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Open RouteIt and tap "Restore purchases."
Why does RouteIt ask for my location?
RouteIt uses your location to plan trips starting from where you are. You can
plan trips without sharing location by typing a starting address instead.
How is my data handled?
